Eye on India
I’ve always taken many photos in India; it’s one of the most photogenic places in the world. Exotic festivals, beautiful people, stunning architecture and natural landscapes all constitute what we know of this enormously diverse country. My most recent trip and this subsequent essay have compelled me to try and reflect some of the more nuanced aspects of India: the urban scenes, the textures and shapes that constitute everyday India. It is impossible to even remotely reflect what India is really like through a lens that captures only an instant, but in these photos I have attempted to portray some of the less familiar sights seen or interpreted about India . . .
